Carmex Everyday Soothing Lip Balm
Despite being hugely popular, I'd never actually tried Carmex Lip Balms until recently. After realising I'd packed my usual Elizabeth Arden one in my case which has already been checked in, I picked this up at the airport to see me through the 11 hour flight back to England.
My lips were feeling pretty dry, and I have to say that I was a bit disappointed with this. Not only did it have an odd taste (quite chemically), it didn't do the best job at rehydrating and softening my lips. I felt like it soon wore off too, so I had to reapply it frequently throughout the flight.
I don't think I'll be purchasing any more Carmex products on home turf, I really was expecting it to be better than it was.
What are your thoughts on Carmex? Are you a fan or are there other lip balms that you rate more highly?

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Intensive Repair Lip Balm
I was lucky enough to receive this Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Intensive Repair Lip Balm as a freebie from LookFantastic, who I work for, and after using it for a few weeks I can definitely notice and improvement in the condition of my lips.
Formulated with vitamins and emollients, as well as natural ingredients including watercress extract and honey, it locks in moisture and heals dry, chapped skin. It has a slightly odd menthol taste and leaves your lips tingling slightly when first applied, but you can really feel it soothing any areas of dryness.
I apply this before I go to bed and my lips feel so soft and smooth when I wake up. It's quite pricey, and retails around the £20 mark, however a little goes a long way so a pot will last you a long time.
What are your favourite lip balms? Have you tried this one yourself?

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub
With the colder weather fast approaching, I thought I'd share one of my winter lip saviours with you. This Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub keeps my lips soft and smooth, as well as being absolutely delicious - it's so tempting just to eat it straight from the pot!
Made from castor sugar and organic jojoba oil, the scrub buffs away dry, flaky skin, as well as softening and hydrating your lips without making them feel sticky or greasy. It's perfect for prepping your lips for lipstick, and it really helps the colour to glide on effortlessly.
The sugar can feel quite rough, so you only need a tiny bit at a time. Although a 25g pot is £5.50, it's worth it as it will last you for ages.
If you like bubblegum or candy floss, you will absolutely love this. I'm tempted to give the popcorn one a go next. Have you used Lush Lip Scrubs before? What are your favourite lip care products?
You can get this lip scrub both in store and online here.

Sleek MakeUP True Colour Lipsticks
Loved Up (on the left) seemed to apply a little bit more smoothly, however both had fantastic staying power. I got a good 4 hours of wear before they even came close to needing a touch up, even after eating and drinking. They're perfect for nights out, and since they're long-lasting, you won't need to worry about precise re-application when you've has one vodka too many!
As well as having fantastic colour payoff, Sleek MakeUP True Colour Lipsticks are formulated with vitamin E to keep your lips conditioned and hydrated, whilst protecting against ageing free radicals.
I'll definitely be investing in more Sleek MakeUP products in the future, and I can't wait to wear Loved Up for my night out in Manchester tomorrow. Figs & Rouge Cherry Blossom Lip Balm
Nothing beats the feeling of kissably soft lips, and this Figs & Rouge Cherry Blossom Lip Balm certainly keeps its promise of being 'nourishing, soothing and multi-tasking'. I was introduced to this little gem when I received it in a GlossyBox a couple of months back, and it's been my go-to lip care product ever since.
Made from 100% pure and natural ingredients, it's packed with antioxidants and omega fatty acids which keep your lips smooth and supple, keeping them hydrated long after you've applied it. It also has a subtle yet noticeable pink tint, which looks absolutely gorgeous on your lips, as well as having yummy taste that's just like those Haribo cherry sweets!.
Another thing which I really love about this lip balm is that it doesn't leave your lips feeling too sticky. I almost always choose lipstick over gloss, for the very reason that I don't like anything that makes my hair stick to my lips, however this feels really light and still gives your lips a stunning sheen. It also works well dabbed over the top of pink lipstick, giving you the perfect pout.
A little goes a long way with this balm, so a 12.5ml tube will last you ages. I've had it for around 2 months and wear it almost every day, and there's hardly even an indent in the tube! The pretty floral packaging is absolutely beautiful too.
You can buy Figs & Rouge Cherry Blossom Lip Balm (12.5ml) for £4.95 from feelunique.
